E-mail Protection
Configuring Norton AntiVirus to scan e-mail requires detailed information about your e-mail settings. Additionally, there are other problems that can occur when e-mail scanning is enabled. Enabling NAV e-mail scanning is best done by someone at your organization who is able to change your e-mail settings and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
Symantec's technical knowledge base contains articles about troubleshooting and configuring Norton AntiVirus to scan e-mail with several different e-mail applications (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Eudora Pro, Eudora Light, and FoxMail). There may be complications with any of these e-mail programs. See "To Enable E-mail Protection" below.

To Enable E-mail Protection
Open the Norton AntiVirus control panel by double-clicking the shortcut on the desktop.
Click the Options button at the top of the window.
Select E-mail Protection in the list at the side of the Options for Norton AntiVirus window.
Select Enable E-mail Protection (Recommended).
Check the e-mail programs you want to enable protection for. (Norton AntiVirus may have to search your system for e-mail programs first.)
Note: If your e-mail application does not appear in the NAV Protected e-mail clients list (i.e., only choice is “Manually configure e-mail client :”) you will need to enable it using the procedures in one of the documents under Symantec Knowledge Base Articles:
Choose Ask Me What To Do from the Action pop-up menu.
Click OK.
Close the Norton AntiVirus control panel.

Come dice quest'articolo c'e' la possibilità!! Ma la versione 2002 non c'e' l'opzione:
- Select E-mail Protection in the list at the side of the Options for Norton AntiVirus window.
forse la versione 2003 e/o 2004 ha quest'opzione voglio verificare.
Comunque la 2001 è facilissima da configurare.
