Un errore nel codice di W32.Blaster.Worm potrebbe essere un punto favore per Microsoft contro il primo attacco DoS (Denial of Service).
Infatti il worm è stato programmato per sferrare gli attacchi verso il sito windowsupdate.com (pagina momentaneamente non disponibile), ma come ben sappiamo la direzione reale a cui si viene rimandati è http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
Quindi se si vogliono scaricare le patch, basta inserire nella barra degli indirizzi direttamente questo url
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
