Problema Masterizzazione ASPIRE 5920G

Buonasera a tutti,
approfitto dell'occasione per presentarmi, sono nuovo del forum...
Ho, come avrete potuto leggere dal titolo del topic, un problema di masterizzazione sul mio Acer Aspire 5920G; il programma che utilizzo per la masterizzazione al momento è nero 7 Ultra Edition, ma avevo lo stesso problema utilizzando Nero 9.
Sostanzialmente succede che dopo aver scritto tutte le tracce la masterizzazione si blocca sulla chiusura del disco e dopo aver impiegato qualche minuto a tale scopo appare un messaggio di fallita scrittura del disco.
Ho subito pensato ad un problema hardware, ma una parziale smentita mi ha fatto fare un passo indietro....con il programma freeware CDBURNER XP la masterizzazione avveniva con successo!! (la chiusura del disco comunque impiegava più tempo che la scrittura di tutte le tracce). Prima di contattare l'assistenza volevo fare un tentativo autonomo di risoluzione...col vostro aiuto magari!

Se sono tracce audio, assicurati che sia selezionata TAO

Grazie per la tempestività, ho verificato, trattandosi di tracce audio, che la scrittura fosse TAO ma questo non ha fatto si che il problema si risolvesse...purtroppo alla chiusura del disco, dopo qualche minuto, appare la finestra di fallita scrittura con conseguente inutilizzabilità del cd vuoto.
Sotto consiglio di un amico come prossimo tentativo proverò ad aggiornare il firmware dl masterizzatore...allego comunque il log di nero ove potrebbe essere utile.

perche' ha il DMA su off?
Visto che stai usando un CD-R/RW (riscrivibile della Ritek Co) , sarebbe il caso di usare un CD-R (normale) di qualita'
Non sono daccordo di masterizzare l'audio in TAO, ma sempre in DAO ed us UN velocita' piu' bassa 20X e' troppo prova con 16X

Non so esattamente cosa sia questa periferica:

e non so neanche perchè il DMA è su off, sta di fatto che ho controllato in gestione periferiche, IDE, Canale primario/secondario, impostazioni avanzate e c'è la spunta su "DMA se disponibile"
Ho provato ad usare un CD-R normale, a masterizzare in DAO ed abbassare la velocità di mastrizzazzione a 16X ma niente, continua a verificarsi lo stesso problema.

Della serie: l'informatica ti fa dimenticare la materialità delle cose...

Dopo svariati tentativi miseramente falliti, ero sull'orlo di mollare e rassegnarmi all'idea di spedire il portatile in assisstenza e rimanere da 30 a 60 gg senza; girando per i santi forum mi imbatto nel topic di uno che aveva avuto un problema di masterizzazione con i Verbatim ed era disperato almeno quanto me, alla ricerca di un sito per aggiornare il firmware del suo masterizzatore...tra i vari consigli c'era un utente che gli porgeva una soluzione banale quanto apparentemente inutile: pulire la lentina dalla polvere...ebbene ho pensato: "vuoi vedere che..."
Vi lascio immaginare il finale...
